Craft Kettle, a local microbrewery supplier with an eye on expansion, purchased the 71,196-square-foot Mid-City warehouse and industrial complex that dominates the square block bounded by North Alexander, Bienville, North Murat and Conti streets, Stepanie Riegel reports on NOLA.com.

Hooley Inc., a nearly 120-year-old sheet-metal company, sold the complex for $3.1 million and will remain in the building, Riegel reports. Craft Kettle, currently Uptown on Tchoupitoulas Street, will occupy 10,000 square feet, where it plans to expand to develop its own line of beers and eventually open a brewery.
